In the preamble of a project with national scope, which will lead the Ministry of Education and will be supported by ALATA and the Technical University of Loja (UTPL), the forum of Inclusive Education and Sustainable Learning was held.
The Forum for Educational Inclusion and Sustainable Learning has organised for the first time in Ecuador; a free event that took place in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil, and broadcasted in the cities of Santo Domingo, Portoviejo, Manta and Machala.
In the forum, participants from the Technical Private University of Loja (UTPL) performed an analysis of Inclusive Education and the current situation in Ecuador. On the other hand, international speakers from the University of Melbourne, New England and Southern Cross of Australia, took part to share their extensive knowledge on this subject. The forum reception 400 participants, among students, teachers and the community, who allowed themselves to elucidate their concerns and enjoy extensive experience regarding the issue.
The Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL) plans to develop similar events in the coming months with the support of ALATA.
